Really do appreciate all of you discussing this topic today – very important. Also very timely for me.

I heard someone say the real measure of our trading skills was not how many wins we had, but how we manage our losses.

I have a small account and today I had over $200.00 loss with CSCO through an options trade. I didn’t sell into the surge before the earnings report, as I should have- I held through because I thought my chart looked strong. Mistake!
My chart looked good and Cisco even BEAT earnings – and STILL it dropped because of Covid-19 guidance. So today was not a happy day.

Many times I’ve though it would be great to have a group of traders to talk with.
Have you all thought about setting up groups of Tim Sykes & Tim Bohen traders getting together as “Trading Buddies” -or something like that?
That would be very helpful having other people to discuss trades with. They could meet/call together once or twice a week – something like that.
-Anyway – just an idea.

Thank you all for this great podcast- very much needed and appreciated!
Mark

But, I’ll leave a comment here(as opposed to iTunes). I like that you encourage people to speak to someone or a battle buddy in anything you do. In the current social media environment, the wrath of merciless “joking” of people can be a dangerous mental game. And it’s a lot different when you have to look in someone’s face and listen, give feedback or just hear them. I would not look for support from the online community unless it is someone that I had built a relationship with previous to the need to soundboard through a problem. For example, I think it was great for Jack and Dom to have each other to springboard themselves in the beginning.

It is consolidation time… Wating for a while to trade… Practicing with a mini amount from now on!
